Temperature questoion

This morning the temperature was 12 degrees celsius.
by 12pm it had increased by 7 degrees so it is now 19 degrees celsius.
by 6pm temperature then dropped by 5 degrees to be 14 degrees celsius.
now at 8pm it has dropped 3 more so the new temperature is 11 degrees celsius.

the equation 12+7-5-3=11

the cost of strip b is 10+20=30 because I have 3 smiley faces and 3 sad faces.
